As a
response to the 1989 Childrens Act, Eyewitness was invited to deploy
dramato explore a wide range of often
sensitive Child Protection issues. Since then our aim has been to
deliver understanding of current legislation and
protocols from a multi-agency perspective - to
encourage professionals to work together to promote
children's
welfare and safeguard them from abuse and neglect.
We can now provide drama based learning opportunities right across
the spectrum of health and social care
provision and our work is regularly performed in Social Sevices
Departments, Schools, Health Centres, Police
Training Units, Sure Start, Non-Statutory Agencies as well as Colleges
and Universities - not only in England but
right across the globe.
TWENTY YEARS
OF TOURING THEATRE
Eyewitness has toured
mainstream theatre since 1985, both at home and abroad,
and has developed a unique brand of performance that has
won International acclaim - being the only British theatre
company ever to win an award at the prestigious PRIX
ITALIA in Rome in 1990;
The company is a FOUR times winner of the
International Theatre Festival. We are proficient at writing
and producing videos, audio cassettes, CD ROMs and all online
facilities for training purposes.

On this website we offer details
of some of the modules we have available – but our expertise
is in performing and writing and we always welcome advice or guidance
on how our programmes should be shaped. We are aware of budgetary
restriction in Child Protection Training and consequently you’ll
find our prices reasonable and flexible. We need no special space
or equipment and can adapt our performances for any live audience.
